Equipment manufacturing industry is one of the most important symbol measuring a country’s core competitiveness, and advanced equipment manufacturing industry in industrialized countries is a mature sound of modern industrial system, with optimized industrial structure, strong capability of independent innovation and long-term development potential, and occupying the high-end segments of the value chain. If we would build powerful equipment manufacturing industry, it is necessary to deepen reform, adhere to the "innovation-driven, high-end leads, foundation support, green development", step by step completed in phases from equipment manufacturing power to a power of strategic change. Producer services throughout the upstream production, downstream and midstream and other areas, are depend on the existence of the manufacturing sector. Therefore, the study of the joint development of equipment manufacturing and producer services is very significant.Based on the overview of the research status of the manufacturing sector, producer services and the relevance of both, on the first coordination theory equipment manufacturing and producer services are introduced, and the collaborative development of phases.
