In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy and the speeding up of urbanization, urban housing demolition has become a hot topic for m ost people. Because of the conflicts of in terest between the households and the prop erty developers, makes all kinds of social contradictions, it m akes urban housing demolition become a serious and widespread social problem. The households ha s been most concerned about is the demolition and other relevant govern ment departments on how to ef fectively protect their interests. But in real life, m ost of the households always living in a passive position, they can’ t contend against the property develope rs. So protect the rights and interests of the people play a vital role in social stability and economic development.This article with the case of city "S", on the foundation of collecting related information, to carry out the dem olition process on protection of the rights and interests of the dem olition problem people, with the questionnaire survey, interview, combined with the literature analysis and based on the actual application of Rawls’ theory of justice to resolve the local go vernment to protect the rights of the demolition is provided for reference. From the logical structure, the paper is divided into five parts. The second part describes the related co ncept of urban hous ing demolition and social justice Rawls’ theory connotation.
