The Research Of Productive Service Trade To Impact The Global Value Chain

With the further development of global economy, the economy of many countries has developed with high speed, and the structure of industry also adjust accordingly, at the same time service trade is developing rapidly, and has aroused many attention around the world. As a new service industry, the productive service trade appeared and has developed quickly. The productive service trade is closer to manufacturing, and has profound impacts on manufacturing. Since productive service trade with high technology content and high added value, it will promote the development of national economy. The development of service trade is largely influenced by international competitiveness of productive service trade, then it will affect the overall international competitiveness of this country. At the same time, the position of this country in the global value chain will be effected. However rapid development of the world economy makes great changes in global configuration of resources and the international division. The international market competition is more seriously. Most of the companies who depend on their own strength cannot cope with such intense competition, so they start to adjust their own development strategies, and decompose the production, also outsource more low-end steps in the process of production, the core and most competitive part continue to produce. The theory of global value chain explains the economic situation.The characteristic of productive service trade and the close relationship among manufacturing provide a new direction and new ideas for the countries to improve the position in the global value chain. Developed countries have dominated the global value chain, and some of the developing countries are limited in the low-end position. The existence of various barriers hindered the promotion of the position in the global value chain for these countries. China is also in the low-end of global value chain, and the manufacturing has low technology content with no core competitiveness. The status as a manufacturing would be effected. Thus improving of independent innovation ability and additional value of products will have a great role in promoting the position in global value chain of our country. In China, the productive service trade doesn’t reach a high level and lack of competitiveness in the international market. Considering with the manufacturing, the study on development of productive service trade contributes to the understanding of the productive service trade in promoting the position of global value chain in our country. How to develop our productive service trade provides a new train of thought in order to promote the competitive ability in the international market and develop our economy and also promote the status of our country in global value chain.We study the function of productive service trade to promote the position in global value chain. We review the study of existing scholar and theory of global value chain research, and also analyze the stimulation between productive service trade and the global value chain from various angles. We analyze the present situation of the productive service trade among developed countries, the United States, Japan and South Korea have been listed, but also we focus on the present situation of productive service trade in China, and present situation of the status in the global value chain around the world. Through the empirical analysis, we study the productive service trade to promote the status in the global value chain. Finally we put forward some policy suggestions to improve global value chain from the perspective of productive service trade status.
