Research On The Strategy Of Development For Changjiang Futures Co., Ltd

Along with the relaxation of supervisory policies, innovations and integrations in the futures sectors of China have been gradually accelerated. Futures brokers are faced with big changes for development and more challenges of their rivals. In 2013, initially adapting the market changes, Changjiang Futures Co., Ltd. (CJFCO) successfully acquires Xiangcai Qinian Futures Co., Ltd. (XQFCO). After the acquisition, the number of its outlets increased dramatically, their location became more reasonable, and its infrastructure has been significantly improved. To gain a cutting-edge in the futures market, in this article, the author makes a comprehensive analysis of the external environment and internal recourses of CJFCO, forecasts the growth prospects of the industry and the potentials of the company, and plans a scheme. Meanwhile, to meet the objective demand, it is to speed up this merger and acquisition process and to realize sustainable development of the company.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction. It gives a brief introduction of CJFCO, and presents the outline, framework and approaches of our research. The second part is an analysis of the external environment of CJFCO, includes macro environmental analysis, sector customer demand analysis by applying Porter’s Five Forces Model, the competitive structure of the futures industry is elaborated in detail. In Part three, we make a fully analysis of the development potentials and abilities of the enterprise, and go into the deep aspects of the business foundation, resources and abilities of the company. In Part four, by using SWOT Analysis method, we consider thoroughly of its strengths and weaknesses, environmental opportunities and threats. And we develop a quantitative model to forecast the business of CJFCO in the next five years. On the basis of the model, we set up a strategic goal of CJFCO, specify growth-oriented development strategies, and put forward a trinity business development strategy which covers direct marketing, Introducing Broker (1B) and innovation business. Last, in Part five, we put more emphasis on the supporting system of the strategy implementation. The author tries to give some suggestion of the strategy goal implementation, which includes specifications of the sales and customers service system, operating system and personnel training system.We expect to give some useful advices and suggestions for setting the strategic goal of CJFCO which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Changjiang Securities. At the same time, we hope to the paper will provide some reference for those futures who has the same background with CJFCO.
