Study On The Factors That Affect Farmers Abandoned Arable Land

Cultivated land resource is the basis for the protection of national food security, but with the speeding up of the industrialization and urbanization of countries, cultivated land resources in a sharp decrease in the, many rural areas appear phenomenon of abandoning farmland,endangering national food supply and safety. How to take scientific and effective measures to alleviate the problem of abandonment of arable land in the rural areas, to promote the rational use and protection of cultivated land resource, has become one of the hot issues in the academic circles.This study with a large number of the population, economic development faster, Guangxi Bobai County as an example, select Bobai County of Ning Tan Zhen, Fengshan Town as the study area, through investigation and analysis to determine the main factors affect farmers’ abandonment of arable land. The data sources are mainly in the 2014 Bobai County land use status data and in the form of questionnaire survey to obtain the first-hand data, the main research methods are literature research method,remote sensing image judgment method, questionnaire survey method,statistical analysis method. The use of statistical and econometric techniques such as quantitative analysis, put forward countermeasures to solve the problem of land abandonment. Has a certain theoretical value and practical significance to the study of abandoned arable land.The specific contents of the research are as follows: three aspects:(1)this times to family features, and arable land operating status, and family income, and arable land circulation, and arable land protection cognitive five a factors as effects farmers arable land abandoned factors research, farmers family features factors package had family population,and perennial out working number, and perennial engaged in agricultural labor number, and heads age, and heads degree, and family members Supreme degree, and family distance recently town; arable land operating status package had arable land and the quality, and arable land water irrigationconditions, and arable land from you home distance, and crop production changes Family income including the main source of income, the family annual income, farm income, changes in crop prices; the existence of abandoned arable land cultivated land fallow, causes, impact on household income, after the abandonment of cultivated land circulation policy knowledge and farmers ’ awareness of land protection; and sample for this survey was made of detailed statistical analysis of the basic properties.(2)according to the arable land abandonment, farmers abandoned as explanatory variables, farmers have abandoned cultivated land endowment value is equal to l, no fallow farmland values is equal to o. Select worked closely with farmers ’ land management activities of relevant factors,household characteristics, operating conditions, household income,circulation of cultivated land, farmland protection awareness of the five variables as explanatory variables, survey using SPSS17.0 software to obtain variable description of factors affecting abandonment.(3)two Lo git uses econometric model for quantitative analysis of the factors influencing farmers abandoned obtained test results of model variables, excluding significant variables and then use Econometrics II Lo git significant variable regression analysis significant variables of the model parameter estimation.Main conclusions include the following five points:(1) Most of the farmers are land abandonment phenomenon.(2) abandonment of arable land depends on the farmers ’ land management conditions.(3) abandonment occurred mainly due to household labour force transfer,perennial in the family farming gradually reduce perennial migrant labour is gradually increasing.(4) abandoned mainly because of low incomes in agriculture,non-agricultural income has become the main source of income of the family.(5) abandoned due to land policy and farmers lacked arable land protection.
