Influencing Factors Research Of Arable Land Abandoned Phenomenon: An Analysis Of A Sample

With the development of industrialization, a lot of arable land was requisitionedas construction, and then the adjustment of agricultural structure also contributes todecreasing the amount of cultivated land. While there are a lot of farmland has beenabandoned in nationwide, leading to a large number of idle farmland can’t be betterused, this phenomenon not only makes the land resources was wasted, but also makesour food security facing serious challenges. In this context, the issue of abandonedfarmland has important theoretical and practical significance.According to the research of other scholars on farmland abandoned, collatingthe abandoned farmland characteristics, types, reasons and so on; This study analysesthe farmers land from the perspective of economic theory, the theory of socialmobility, new institutional economics theory and incentive theory. Choosing majorfactor on abandoned farmland from the study of other scholars, selecting Linzhou asthe study area, carrying on household survey, and then analyze the data by using theBinary logistic model.The results showed that the level of education of farmers, skillsstatus (craft), agricultural production changes, changes in agricultural income, the costof agricultural inputs and cognitive transfer policy affect on land abandonmentsignificantly.According the results, we put forward policy recommendations to reduce theabandonment of farmland.Recommendations should depend on the actual situation indifferent regions; respect the wishes of farmers; improve the social security system,land transfer system and employment mechanism; establish long-term arable landcontract management retreat mechanism; improve the environment of investment inrural areas, urban and rural development;...
