Under the trend of the knowledge economy environment background, high-tech companies want to remain invincible and maintain innovation advantage in the fierce market competition. They must recognized that the most critical and important factor is how to use the knowledge capital, intellectual capital and minds capital of their all knowledge-based workers effectively. This series of related issues, such as how to combine the many diffidence people into an efficient high-quality knowledge-based teams effectively; how to monitor, control and manage the knowledge-based staffs effectively; how to motivate the members of the knowledgeable virtual teams successfully and effectively.Based on the common characteristics of both the virtual teams and knowledge teams, this paper extracts the new induction and summary of virtual teams in different aspects, analyzes the individual characteristics of team members and reaches the factors which affect the operations management of knowledge-based virtual team. Combined with a large number of team motivation theories and arguments from around the world, this paper puts forward a realistic perspective which is useful to solve more and more problems in the process of team motivation. Finally, taking an R & D team of the high-tech, knowledge-based enterprise as an example, this paper makes a detailed and thorough analysis and understanding successfully.I hope this paper can be an effective case which constructed by means of an emphasis on knowledge-based and results-oriented virtual team. Because it can emphasize the importance of knowledge and the ability of individual team members, improve the enthusiasm and motivation of entire virtual team workers. For the reason that, the ultimate aim of this research want to reach a method by useful incentives that make the performance of whole team to get a qualitative breakthrough.
