With the development of China’s market economy in the21st century, employee career growth has become a hot issue in human resource management as well as arouse concerns of many scholars in theory.Still, what kind of leadership behavior to promote professional growth of employees is still a lack of consensus. So, open the black box of the influence of leadership behavior on professional growth of employees and its mechanism has become an urgent problem to be solved.Firstly, the relevant theoretical research and progress were reviewed and proposed hypothesis. Then collected data through questionnaires, adore research instruments of statistics, structural equation modeling to verify the relationship between the independent variables and mediating variables, the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, the relationship between mediating variables and the dependent variable. Finally, exploring intermediary role of the superior-subordinate relationship played in leadership behavior and employee relations. With comprehensive comparison of the fully mediated model, the partially mediation model, the partially mediated correction model,we selected the best fit model to verify the underlying assumptions, and get the following conclusions:(1)The study found that formal superior-subordinate relationships and informal superior-subordinate relationships both showed a significant positive effect on career growth of employees.(2) Three behavior patterns of leading have different influence on the superior-subordinate relationship.Transformational leadership behaviors have little effects on informal superior-subordinate relationship, but there is a significant positive effect on the formal superior-subordinate relationships;transactional leadership behaviors has a significant positive effects both on formal and informal superior-subordinate relationship; passive leadership behaviors has little effects both on formal and informal superior-subordinate relationship.(3) Transformational leadership behaviors and transactional leadership behaviors both play a intermediary role in the growth of employees career through the superior-subordinate relationship.
