Domestic electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies are facing fierce competition from global EMS companies. The development strategy research and setting is critical to the survival and development of companies.Based on analyzing of the overall development of the global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry and the importance of development strategy research of domestic small and medium electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies, this thesis conducted a detailed analysis to the status of domestic electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies, and used Michael Porter’s five competitive forces model to analysis competitive conditions in the industry, especially the competitive environment of small and medium domestic electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies. Then this thesis described how to use the SWOT matrix to analysis key internal and external factors of XXX Electronics Co., Ltd., and combined with the universal theory of Porter’s competitive strategy to finalize the overall development strategy of XXX Electronics Co., Ltd. at this stage:1. Focus on key customers------Implement target aggregation strategy to the customers which product feature is low volume, high mix and high-value.2. High-end manufacturing------Take competitive advantage based on cutting-edge technology, efficient production, stable quality and comprehensive services.3. Operational Excellence------Strengthen enterprise management and marketing capabilities to protect the healthy development of the company.In determining the company’s development strategy, this article describes how to provide specific measures and safeguards system to the implementation of development strategy in the production, technology, business, personnel, information management, and financial aspects, then to upgrade XXX Electronics Co., Ltd. to high-end electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company with superior manufacturing capabilities, comprehensive range of services, efficient operations management, healthy financial position, excellent quality of staff, diverse marketing tools.The research results of this thesis not only provide guidance and advice for survival and development of domestic small and medium electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies, but also has guiding significance for the development of other sectors of domestic SMEs.
