Today, the environment is deteriorating, governments start to make laws to disposethe waste products reasonablely which promotes the generation and development ofreverse logistics. But along with the development of science and technology, the productlife cycle is shortened, upgrading space is accelerated, a large number of waste productsare produced at the same time. The waste products’ recycling can not only achieve thegoal of environmental protection but also achieve the reuse of resource and bringeconomic benefits for enterprises. The manufacturers need to combine the productrecycling with inventory control of traditional forward logistics in order to improveenterprise efficiency and competitiveness. So, the inventory issue based on reverselogistics has become a hot research.In this paper, manufacturers with the remanufacturing reverse logistics link is theresearch object, researches about inventory control problems were done from theenterprise inventory control inventory to the recycling network location and so on. Thispaper mainly includes the following aspects:(1) The theories of reverse logistics, inventory control and remanufacturing areintroduced and the inventory problems of reverse logistics are analyzed.(2) Under the influence of reverse logistics, the spare parts inventory ofmanufacturers responsible for product recycling are provided by the supplier andrecycling and remanufacturing of waste products. In this paper, product recovery israndom, taking into account of the impact on ordering from remanufactured parts, itanalyzed the spare parts inventory system and established inventory control modelsfrom the quantitative treatment and regular treatment respectively. The optimal orderquantity, recycling products processing batch, optimal order quantity and recyclingproducts processing circle can be got after solving. Finally, the empirical analysisverified the effectiveness of the model and provided decision support suggestions for manufacturer inventory of reverse logistics.(3)The products recalling by the manufacturers will produce extra recycledinventory, the cost out of the recycling products entering into the recovery network andthe cost out of recycling products inventory are all very low, recycling productinventory is mainly affected by the convenience of recycling network. It also discussedthe manufacturer’s recycled products inventory control problems and established thejoint decision model of inventory-network according to the recycling network location,determined the number and locations of recycling network nodes. Correspondingalgorithms are designed to realize the control on the recycled products inventory.
