Problems And Research Countermeasures For The Development Of Guangxi And Vietnam Border Trade

The border trade is not only an important part of a country’s economic activities, but also the main way of a country’s foreign economic exchanges. The development of border trade is very important for the two governments between the borders, enterprises, residents and the surrounding and the world. China has a unique advantage of the development of border trade for her region is vast,her border is strip and she has many neighbors. In recent years, the border trade between China’s Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi,Xinjiang, Yunnan and other provinces and their neighboring countries has undergone rapid development, which has attracted more and more attention, especially in Guangxi. Due to the advantage of geographical location with Vietnam, economic growth of Vietnam and China, the highly complementary structure and tight relations between Chinese and ASEAN, Guangxi stands itself up in China’s border trade provinces.This topic takes Guangxi and Vietnam border trade as the research object, the basic theory of border trade is reviewed firstly and the border trade theory is divided into the three traditional theory, modern theory and direct theory. Further,it researches the current situation of Guangxi-Vietnam border trade development, with the result that the Guangxi-Vietnam border trade has made great progress in the trade scale, trade structure and the way of trade in recent twenty years. But at the same time,there are many problems such as great fluctuations of trade, the long-term trade deficit of Vietnam,poor border trade settlement,unreasonable commodity structure and trade mode, poor infrastructure, low logistics efficiency, imperfect law and regulations, misunderstanding and doubt on both sides.Aiming at these problems,this thesis puts forward that we should strengthen international exchanges, refer to the experiences of border trade in other areas,improve the bilateral legal policy, intensify supervision and management, improve the clearing service system, strengthen infrastructure and logistics system construction, optimize border trade and its structure, enhance trust and coordination, jointly solve the dispute, fully play the role of local governments and other bilateral efforts.
