The Research Of Development Strategy Of Bank Of China In Hunan Province

With the development of the domestic economy, China banking industry showedrapid development momentum. Domestic commercial banks have adopted measures toincrease branches and launched new banking products to enhance its marketcompetitiveness in order to gain a foothold. Meanwhile, the foreign bank financialinstitutions have entered the Chinese, competed for market share. Along with China’sfinancial market is constantly opening and globalization deepening, China’scommercial banks are facing more intense competition and more severe challenges.For replying all kinds of opportunities and challenges since the WTO in the bankingindustry, how to formulate scientific and feasible development strategy to use forexternal opportunities, give full play to its advantages, improve marketcompetitiveness, has become the serious problem of commercial banks.As a branch of the Bank of China, Hunan branch is in the complex andchangeable, opportunities and threats of economic environment, the internal andexternal conditions is undergoing great changes. Therefore, in this paper, with theHunan branch as the research object, formulating development strategy for its based onanalysis of the development situation. First of all, this paper would introduce thegeneral situation of Hunan branch and analysis the inner advantages and disadvantages;then, we would use of PEST analysis method to analysis about the macro-environment,and the external opportunities and internal threat to be explored; then, based on thefully grasp the internal and external environment, this paper will use the strategicanalysis of SWOT method, establish the suitable development strategy, and make thegrowth, differentiation and technology-based of three major strategic choice; finally,this paper will presentation the strategic implementation safeguard measures.by using of scientific management tools to fully analysis of environment of Hunanbranch，and based on this to formulate feasible development strategy for it, which willprovide theoretical and practical guidance for the future development path andmeasures in Hunan branch. In addition, the research methods and research results, alsocan provide a reference for other peers to formulate development strategy.
