With china’s reform and opening up entering into a new period, the state-owned enterprises are facing increasingly fierce competition in the market. A rational and scientific salary system is a guarantee for the state-owned enterprises to attract people which is essential to set up their own competitive advantage in the fierce competition in the market. The design of salary system requires combining the advanced theory with the own reality of our country, and using the theory in practice.This thesis is based on the theory of salary system design, and the Henan Energy Chemical Industry Construction Group Company Limited (referred to as: construction company) launched as the research object. The main content of this paper is divided into three parts. Firstly,set out the background and the significance of the research, define the problem and the contents of the research,choose the appropriate method, and the structure of the paper made a reasonable arrangement Then, with the current salary system in construction company as the research object, discover the existing problems in the aspect of enterprise salary system design through in-depth investigation and analysis of the current basic situation of the enterprise; and prepare relevant materials for salary system redesign through job analysis and investigation on industry market. Finally, design a set of more scientific and feasible salary system for construction company, according to the relevant theory and the actual situation of construction company. We use key performance indicators method and360degree performance evaluation method, in combination with the comprehensive advantages of the job oriented, ability oriented and results oriented design concepts., and planning the corresponding security measures.By optimal design of the salary system of construction company, we can find that the current state-owned enterprise management level needs to be improved, and the construction of advanced salary system is still a long way to go. Salary system design requires a variety of integrated application of related theory, and higher level of the management personnel quality. The development of salary system design in the future will turn to broadband salary, as well as diversification and informationization of the salary payment methods.
