Abstract/Summary:
Complex products manufacturing is an important manifestation of a country’s comprehensive strength, its competitiveness concerns the rise and fall of a country. Complex products are characterized with the complexity of customer’s demands, composition structure, product technology and manufacturing process. Replenishment issue which is an important aspect of the organization of complex products, is very noteworthy. Replenishment management is directly related to whether the production can proceed smoothly and the cost can be reasonably controlled. Therefore, this thesis focus on the problem of complex products collaborative replenishment.The thesis researches on collaborative replenishment in a two level supply chain consist of three supplier and one manufacture under uncertain demand. The thesis presents three replenishment policies and comparatively analyzes replenishment quantities and supply chain cost changes under different strategies. The article’s contents are as follows:(1) The thesis reviewed related domestic and foreign papers and theories on collaborative replenishment problems to find out research status, then realized that supply-hub is an advanced inventory management model, which can improve the replenishment interoperability if it is applied to the production of complex materials management.(2) The thesis analyzed the issues in details, defined the meaning of complex products and its features, analyzed the characteristics of materials, the reasons of demand uncertainty and replenishment requirements. At last, the thesis summarize that the replenishment should be on time, quantitative and in full sets of.(3) The thesis built three replenishment strategy models and solved it. This research based on the following assumptions:demand is independent and normally distributed, the lead time of replenishment is fixed, the manufacturer uses JIT production, continuous check stock strategy is applied in supply-hub. Based on these assumptions, the thesis built models of suppliers independent replenishment, replenishment without considering the quantities and timing of collaboration and replenishment considering the quantities and timing of collaboration. Models were target with minimizing the total cost of the supply chain. It obtained by calculation that three replenishment strategies all exist the optimal solution when certain conditions are met. It also proved that supply chain cost of model without considering the quantities and timing of collaborative was always lower than the supply chain cost of suppliers independent replenishment model. Finally, the three replenishment strategy models were validated through numerical analysis. It proved that there was no one replenishment model is always better than the other two. It should be based on the specific circumstances of the supply chain to determine the optimal replenishment strategies.
