Development Strategy Research Of BGP Dagang Branch

BGP Dagang Branch (hereinafter referred to as "Dagang Branch") was established in July2003by integrating the technical force of the computing center of former Dagang Oilfield Geophysical Prospecting Company in response to CNPC’s strategy of specialization. Integrating scientific research and production, it is devoted to providing technical services of seismic data processing and interpretation for oil and gas exploration and development. Against the background of soaring international crude oil prices and national energy security and environmental protection policies, oil and gas exploration, development and utilization play a very important role. CNPC accelerates its exploration and development at home and abroad. The process of data processing and interpretation indispensable for early periods of exploration play an irreplaceable role in the efficient development of oil and natural gas. With a short history, Dagang Branch has to establish a set of strategic planning for development, although facing good opportunities for development. Through studying the development strategy of Dagang Branch, this paper makes standardized and integrated strategic management models, so as to reach its development goals and to provide some useful references to other institutes for their establishment and implementation of development strategies.The author systematically reviews the general theory of corporate development strategies. Deeply analyzing the current oil&gas industry situation, domestic and overseas oil&gas production and development industry and the status of various resources, using theories of strategic management, HR management, modern corporate management and other disciplines, adopting the research method of integration of theory and practice, analyzing and comparing relevant factors, and integrating the characteristic of Dagang branch, this paper establishes the guiding ideology and development objective of Dagang branch, specifically analyzes the conditions necessary for achieving such objective, establishes the scientific development strategies of Dagang Branch, develops corresponding operation proposal and safeguards for strategic implementation, and finally provides guide for Dagang branch to achieve its development objective,the international competitive geophysical institute.
