In the rapid development of modern information technology and economicglobalization, the competition between the enterprises becomes fiercer and fiercer. Theproductiveness of one company sits closely to the performance of its employee, which isone of the major concerns of every manager.There are plenty of ways to improve the performance of the employee, among which thesuperior-subordinate interaction is a key point. And this kind of positive influence ofleader-member relation on the employee performance has been verified in many researches.In China, as is known for its relationship orientation, the relationship betweensuperior-subordinate is much more sensitive than that in the west, and it also will exert a moretremendous influence on the performances of employers. However, there a few studies coverthe topics of how the superior-subordinate relationship affects the performance of theemployee under the local conditions in China and what the internal mechanism is. Based onthis argument, the affecting mechanism of superior-subordinate relationship on theperformance of the employee is studied by introducing organizational commitmentintermediary factor through empirical research methods.According to the research content, this paper used the literature research and otherresearch methods and on the basis of related literature research found out a suitable researchbreakthrough point and related research tools to build a hypothesis model. The paper usedSPSS to carry out factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis. Through the empiricalanalysis and test, the paper’s conclusions are:1. The correlation between the superior-subordinate relationship and the performance areconcluded by analysis of the questionnaire surveys. Three dimensional emotional attachmentof the superior-subordinate relationship has significant influence on the employeeperformance; the involvement of private life has also positive influence on the employeeperformance; the extent of compliance of subordinate to superior has positive influence on theemployee performance, too. 2. This study confirmed the relationship between the superior-subordinate relationshipand organizational commitment, in which the emotional attachment is obviously correlatedwith the emotion and standardization commitments positively; the involvement of private lifehas positive influence on the emotion commitment and continuance commitment; the extentof compliance of subordinate to superior has positive correlation with the standardizationcommitment.3. Organizational commitment exhibits positive influence on the employee performance.And the emotion commitment correlates with performance of the employee positively; thestandardization commitment affects the employee performance significantly.4. Organizational commitment is an intermediary variable factor between thesuperior-subordinate relationship and the performance, which indicates that on the one handthe superior-subordinate relationship affect the employee performance directly, on the otherhand, the superior-subordinate relationship affects the organization commitment and proceedsto the next step affecting the employee performance.Finally, based on the empirical research results, analyzes the relationship between thesuperior-subordinate relationship and job performance and organizational commitment of theintermediary role, and based on this, it puts forward the enlightenment for the managers, theresearch limitations and outlook for the future.
