Sdudies Of Industrial Convergence In Northest China

Since the proposal of the convergence of regional industrial structure in1980s, it arousedwide attention and lively discussion among the scholars in our country and the study resultsare also very rich,but most of the study are concentrated in Yangtze River Delta region and thecountry,the study of whether the northeast industrial structure convergence is very rare. Thepaper first analyzes whether there is a phenomenon of industrial structure convergence inNortheast region,and then probes into the cause of formation and the analysis itsimpact,lastly propose appropriate countermeasures against the negative effects of the negativeimpacts.The paper first uses the leading industry selection, industrial structure similaritycoefficient, hoffman coefficient and location quotient index these four indexes to analyzeindustry and industry data of northeast area. The result shows that convergence of regionalindustrial structure exists in northeast area, from the specific point of view：the analysis resultof the three provinces leading industry selection shows that the industries accounts more than4%of the industry output in the three provinces in Northeast China have relative big similarity,industrial coincidence number is more than4. The research result of industrial structuresimilarity coefficient shows that in the northeast area the three industry level shows a highconvergence, but specific to the industry section the similarity decreases. The analysis result ofhoffman coefficient shows that the constitution of light and heavy industry in northeast areahas high similarity and the similarity is becoming more and more obvious. The measure resultof location quotient index shows that in northeast area there are many domestic dominantindustries, but they are not transferred into leading industry of the region, the development ofregion economy influenced by the convergence of regional industrial structure. On this basis,the paper uses the alpha and beta similarity hypothesis test methods which are usually used tomeasure economic convergence to test the convergence of regional industrial structure innortheast area, and the test result is basically identical with the result of industry constitutionmeasure so a certain degree of convergence of regional industrial structure exists in northeastarea. Then the paper analyzes the origin of the convergence of regional industrial structure innortheast area deeply, discusses the possibility and unreasonable factors of the convergence ofregional industrial structure in northeast area, focuses on the convergence of regional industrial structure causes by the game between the government, analyzes the positive andnegative influence brought by the convergence of regional industrial structure to the regioneconomy and puts forward the policy suggestion to achieve the coordinated development ofnortheast area economy and the improvement of industry structure.
