Research On The Isomorphism Of Manufacturing Industry Structure In Bohai Rim Region At The Context Of Regional Integration

With scientific progress and regional industrial structure adjustment, the modernmanufacturing in China’s link Bohai sea area, has developed into an important regionaleconomic growth momentum. The12th Five-Year Plan clearly said that optimize the structure,improve quality, and enhance the varieties industrial supporting ability, develop advancedequipment manufacturing, adjust and optimize industrial raw materials, upgrade consumergoods, promote industrial manufacturing. So it is typical and realistic significance to study theBohai Rim region and its manufacturing under the background of regional integration.Using the degree of spatial concentration index analysis manufacturing industry spatialdistribution and changing trend in Bohai Rim region from1995to2009, and analysismanufacturing industry industrial structure evolution under the combining background by theindustry division index and specialization index which proposed by Krugman. On this basis,predict the future development trend with dynamic data in15years, according to the R/Smethod. According to the research results in this area, put forward some policy suggestions ofoptimize the industrial structure, promote constructing regional industrial structure andimprove the level of regional economic integration.The results showed that manufacturing industry integration level in Bohai area still in the leftof the inverted “U”, which means one-way aggregation phase shift for aggregation anddiffusion coexist in the new stage. When the regional integration level in the primary stage iseasier to form industrial agglomeration and industrial isomorphism problem is severe, such asin Beijing and Tianjin, industry isomorphism are notable and form absolute advantage inautomobile, machinery and electronic information industry, while the industrial isomorphismis serious in petroleum processing, marine chemical industry, equipment manufacturing andother fields in three “haven-hinterland” economic area. But with the integration from primaryto middle stage, manufacturing industry produced apparent industrial gradient transfer,regional specialization level rises significantly and industrial structure gradually reduce.When the integration level in Bohai rim region change from the intermediate stage toadvanced stage, manufacturing industry industrial structure continue to reduce. Industrialstructure in Tianjin will enter a drastic adjustment upgrade process, with the rest of regionalmanufacturing industry industrial structure hasten decreased significantly. Manufacturingindustrial structure convergence degree continues to rise in the special areas such as Liaoningand Shandong. Bohai Rim region should actively play its comparative advantage, breakadministrative barriers, overall planning, and speed up the process of regional integration.
