The equipment manufacturing industry is the core competitiveness of the nationaleconomy. Its development is the main driving force of S&T innovation. With internationalmanufacturing enterprise development,the center of strategy gravity is from the producer toservice. S&T innovation development mode is gradually by the unit pattern to multiplecoupling. The Chinese government thinks highly about multivariate innovation in theequipment manufacturing industry S&T innovation. A number of policies could be supportedto S&T innovation,such as Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’sRepublic China published “The opinion of strengthening enterprise technology innovation ofmain body status comprehensively and improving enterprise innovation ability” in2012. Itdescribed that “in order to improve the continuous innovation capability and corecompetitiveness, strengthen the enterprise technology innovation, R&D’s ability and Brandconstruction. So the government will support multiple collaborative innovation anddevelopment”. However, scientific innovation and technological upgrading (STI&TU)coupling is a kind of collaborative innovation specific pattern. The two-dimensional ofSTI&TU synchronize the development of equipment manufacturing industry. Thedevelopment level of STI&TU coupling is the key technical ability. Particularly, it isimportant to combine the equipment manufacturing industry. It is the effective measure topromote the equipment manufacturing industry competition ability and the key point onmanufacturing enterprises.From the perspective of the essence of coupling innovation, it is special needs of thecoordinated development of multiple S&T innovation by the equipment manufacturingindustry STI&TU coupling. Not only this model promotes the introduction technology ofdigestion and absorption, but also effectively promotes the transformation and upgrading ofthe equipment manufacturing industry. As a result, it can use a new kind of pattern to meetfor the multiple coupling of S&T innovation and the solution of the problem in equipmentmanufacturing industry. This article is based on the problem of study that analyses the statusof S&T innovation and the necessity of STI&TU coupling in equipment manufacturingindustry. It summarizes STI&TU coupling framework and evolution law of development inthe equipment manufacturing industry. It is on the study of equipment manufacturing industry STI&TU development path. This paper uses the method of factor analysis and greycorrelation degree to compete the status of equipment manufacturing industry and STI&TUquantitative analysis. The results show that most parts of the equipment manufacturingindustry give priority to separate of S&T innovation in china. STI&TU multivariateinnovation and development state is not harmonious. The development of STI&TU couplingis not synchronized. Therefore, this paper proposes the STI&TU coupling strategy of"trilogy" in equipment manufacturing industry. And it sets up equipment manufacturinghigh-tech products transformation platform. Test store is putted forward to the equipmentmanufacturing industry (transformation platform). This can implement demand informationsharing between manufacture industries. Not only it can transform the equipmentmanufacturing industry development strong demonstration effect, but also drive the businesscooperation with customers to produce. So, STI&TU coupling speeds up the transformationand upgrading of the equipment manufacturinnterprises. It promotes china’s strong technicalhas important guiding significance.
