Aerospace ZZ manufacturing Enterprise, as a subsidiary of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology and a large-scale leading corporation mainly engaged in the research and manufacturing of ground facilities for spaceflight industry, possesses systematic regime and rich experience of quality management for military products. Along with the China market transition process, the corporation devotes an increasing efforts into civil market exploration besides the traditional military product business. Recently, civil product quality becomes a prominent problem with the expansion of the civil business. For instance, the percentage of product sent back for repair of the hydraulic cylinder for dumper truck, a major product of hydraulic component manufacturing branch of ZZ plant rose to6%in2013, which not only brought direct economic loss to the corporation, but also tarnished its reputation. Consequently, seeking an effective method for civil product quality management has become a significant factor for the survival and development of the corporation in future.This thesis took the quality management of the hydraulic cylinder for dumper truck as the research subject, carried out detailed research on the civil product management, applied statistical analysis on the quality management of the cylinder and deduced the cause of quality problems through the fish bone diagram analysis. Then the corresponding control strategies for the problem-involved procedures has been proposed, systematic quality management method for the dumper truck cylinder manufacturing has also been designed and finally the effectiveness of the proposed method has been validated by statics and satisfaction of customs.Main research topics and results of this paper are listed as follows:(1) Statistical analysis on the current situation and remaining problems were carried out and the core procedure of quality management has been determined. The influences of the core procedure on the quality problem has been analyzed and the control spots for various procedures has also been proposed, forming a reliable quality control spot system for the cylinder manufacturing of the dumper truck.(2)Detailed quality management measures for the cylinders of dumper truck has been raised. These highly pertinent, systematic and operable measures form a quality control regime for the whole work flow based on core procedures of the dumper truck cylinder.(3)Systematic and comprehensive quality management scheme for the dumper truck cylinder has been designed, including the aim, plans, quality requirements for core procedures and personnel training involved with quality management.(4) Practical validation for the revised quality control strategies of dumper truck cylinder has been conducted. The results indicates that after the strategy adaptations, the quality for various procedures has been guaranteed and the quality indexes have been distinctively improved, suggesting the effectiveness of the quality control strategies.This thesis documents a civil product quality management exploration by spaceflight ZZ plant. The research results not only contribute to accomplishing the quality control goal of the dumper truck cylinder and recovering the market reputation of the corporation, but also provide practical guidance for quality management of other civil products and valuable experience for the practices of corporations of manufacturing and even other industries.
