Recent years, the economy of our country keeps stabilized quickly development. The quick development of Chinese economy and society stimulates the civil aviation industry and also requires it shall be developed at a higher speed correspondingly. According to the data provided by the flight standard office of CAAC, by the end of Y2011, the quantity of the recorded transportation air planes has been increased from527at Y2000to1764while the net quantity of kinds of operational and backup aero-engines is increased by3850; the quantity of the general aircrafts recorded has also been reached as1124, including training airplanes of303. According to the research indication done by TeamSAI Consultation Company, the Chinese Civil Aviation will keep on a rather high speed of development in the future. It is estimated that the quantity of big transportation aircraft will be increased as2890by Y2015. In such case, China will be the second biggest aviation transportation country. The rapid increase of fleet of our country also brings the mushroom growth of the civil aviation maintenance (MRO) market. According to the data given by CAAC, the repair cost for aviation for domestic aviation company has exceeded over20billion USD per year. For Y2010, the repair expense has even been over23.2billion USD which is proportion of5%of the MRO market of the world and has been stepped as the fastest increasing aviation repair market of the world. Among these repair, the engine repair accounts for40%. For the whole aviation repair market, it is analyzed that over35%is for the aero-engine repair. In such case, with9.4%increase rate of China aviation repair market among which35%is for engine, the civil aviation repair price for Y2015will be25billion USD and for Y2020will be35billion USD. Beyond all doubts, the foreground of China aero-engine is very attractive. As well known, currently, the global energy supply is shortage. The price of international raw oil is rapidly rose, which has brought strong managing pressure to our civil aviation. In such situation, the key competition between the air companies is to decrease routine operation cost. Aviation maintenance is an important factor which impacts normal and timely flight and safety flying which is also the important composition of operation cost that each air company try to control. The maintenance cost for the aircraft itself is about10%-20%of the whole cost of an air company but the aero-engine maintenance cost is much higher than this. Therefore, to increase competition requires having a better quality, low cost, shorter TAT and better customer service on the aviation maintenance for every air company.Having been worked for about20years in civil aviation maintenance field in China, I have got much understanding and acknowledge of civil aviation maintenance, especially the actual status of the aero-engine maintenance and development background. Through the view of the civil aero-engine maintenance industry development, I adopt4C Operation&Sales theory to analyze the macroscopic situation, the characters of the competition and development foreground. On the other hand, from the aspect of marketing&sales, I discover problems, analyze root causes and find solutions and improvement actions with the combination of the current aero-engine maintenance service status of Company A from the aspects of repair quality, engineering capability, repair TAT control, cost control and customer service etc. Based on these, I raise some strategies for improving the maintenance service and development of Company A so as to improve its competition, satisfaction and percentage of market possession. On the other hand, I also want to draw out some new idea for the development of Chinese civil aero-engine maintenance industry through this research.
