As China began to implement the system reform of "separation of plant and grid,bidding for power", power generation enterprises gradually become independentoperating entity of market economy. A few years ago, because international economicsituation is good, the electricity load has increased year by year, with theencouragement of private business into the energy industry, many private businesshave entered into power generation, formed an important part of China’s electricpower industry. In recent years due to the downturn of international economy,electricity load growth decreases in China, and with the rise of nuclear power, windpower, solar power generation enterprises, thermal power enterprises utilization hoursis reduced year by year, further increase the pressure of enterprise production andeconomic management. Under such rigorous competition pressure, if X EnergyDevelopments Ltd, a new founded thermal power plant, wants to survive should learnto figure out the following issues: how to reduce production costs, maximize the unitefficiency, save the operation and maintenance cost, achieve high equipmentreliability and availability, improve production management level, enhance thecomprehensive competitiveness of enterprises.X Energy Developments Ltd is a newly established power enterprise group, hassix power plants, many problems were found during the group management due tothe difference on plant scale and management mode. How to manage scientificallyand standardize management the six subordinate plants through information system,how to use all of group resources (including funding, equipment, manpower, and soon) rationally, how to optimize the allocation, how to make sure set equipmentrunning safely, economically, stably, reliably, and so on. In a word, how to make fulluse of information system to improve the comprehensive competitiveness ofenterprises is the significance of the information construction of X therm-electricgroup, and alsothe significance of this paper. This article conclude and summarize the domestic and foreign research status ofthermal power plant information at the beginning. According to three-tier integratedmode of the AMR control layer, execution layer, planning/application layer, havebeen put forward by the advanced manufacturing research institute (AMR), analyzeand summarize the main function of the corresponding thermal power enterpriseinformation system layer by layer.introduces several key information systems inthermal power enterprise, which are the information monitoring system of powerplant (SIS), the real-time/historical database, plant management information system(MIS system), enterprise asset management system (EAM system), enterpriseresource planning management system (ERP system) and so on. Then describes thesignificance of the enterprise information strategy planning, introduces thecustomization method of enterprise information strategic planning and matters needattention. Summarize the implementation of the main content and matters needattention of thermal power enterprise information. According to the theoryrequirements of thermal power plant information construction, drawing on experienceof information construction of A thermal power plant, with "unified leadership andunified planning, unified standards, classification management, step-by-stepimplementation" principle, X therm-electric group has planned and implementedinformation systems. At the last, this paper analyze the operation of informationsystems of X thermal power Group analyses, and social benefits of informationconstruction from the three aspects of economy, the strategy and society.Finally, this paper analyze the information system operation and usage of Xenergy development co., LTD., and evaluate the benefit of the information systemfrom the strategic, economic and social aspects.Has carried on the brief introductionof the concept of "digital power plant", look to the future development on the thermalpower enterprise information.
