With the rapid development of Internet, Big data, cloud computing and other technologies, the construction of intelligent power plant has become the development trend in the future. As the base of intelligent power plant, implementation of digitization and informatization has already achieved great success on local applications or some point applications. However, on the aspect of the whole life cycle management, there is few intensive research and positive practice to manage the establishment, the production and the operation of power plant, by integrated applications of current digital information achievements.The thesis analyses and discusses BIM technology and the technology of digital power plant, together with the theory of whole life cycle at first. Then, absorbing the research achievements of related industries at home and abroad, and combining the features of power industry and the features of the equipment structure in power plant, the thesis finally builds up BIM model of the whole life cycle, and applies the BIM theory and techniques into construction and establishment of new digital/intelligent power plant. Taking digital information as main line, the thesis focuses on studying digitized modeling and information establishment of equipment in power plant, and finding out the way to collect and manage equipment information during the establishment process of digital power plant. Consequently, the equipment in power plant would be managed by BIM model, which can combines architectural models and equipment models with powerful functions like BIM space orientation and equipment management, and also leads to investment controlling, schedule controlling, quality controlling and documents filing during the establishment process of power plant.Based on three dimensional information model of digital power plant in panoramic power plant, the thesis makes an intensive study and research upon the operation model of digital power plant. New model of operation can be achieved based on the location and status of visualization in power plant operation and maintenance, including equipment intelligent communication during operation and maintenance, intelligent sense of equipment information collection, intelligent assessment and analysis of equipment status and so on, which can increase continuity and analytical of plant life cycle and realize digital and intelligent power plant. Meanwhile, the thesis suggests informationized master plan of power plant life cycle, which is to realize perceived reliability, virtual reconstruction, response instantly and business collaboration and management decision by uniformly planned and realized step by step with three levels of "panoramic power plant, digital power plant and intelligent power plant".
