The Research On Regulation Mechanism Of China Railway Industry

The railway industry is the basic industry of the national economy, and it has aglobal, leading and strategic position. Since the reform and opening to the outsideworld, the railway transport industry has made an indelible contribution to the rapiddevelopment of our country’s socialist market economy. But along with the marketeconomy advances step by step, the development of railway is lagging behind as awhole, the transport efficiency is relatively low, and the contradiction between supplyand demand becomes more and more prominent. From a regulatory perspective, theexisting regulation system and mechanism had seriously hampered the developmentof the railway industry, so the regulation mechanism and system requires constantadjustment. This paper analyses the problems of the regulation mechanism of therailway industry in a targeted manner, and under the experience of regulatory reformof the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom, the policy suggestions toimprove the regulation mechanism of the railway industry is given.
