In recent years, along with the more important role of logistics in social production and people’s livelihood, the government and various industries in the society pay more attention to the development of logistics industry. Combined with the rapid development of economy and technology, people really recognize the important function of modern logistics and enjoy various conveniences that are brought by the rapid development of the logistics industry.GD Logistics Company is a storage type logistics company that’s established in the process of national material reserve system promoting the reform of public institutions. With the main business of storage, handling, freight forwarding and impawning supervision, the company is a capital intensive and labor intensive storage logistics enterprise. Through several years of development the company obtains some definite achievements; but the negative factors of small scale, insufficiency of modern operation principle, resources dispersion and low informatization level still exist. In order to make the company completely achieve the transformation from the traditional storage type logistics enterprise to the modern logistics company, the enterprise strategy management, resource s integration theory, PEST analytical method and SWOT analytical method is applied in this paper to perform analysis on the internal and external environment and industrial environment of the company so as to find the external opportunities and threats as well as the internal advantages and disadvantages of the company. The opinion that the GD Logistics Company shall adopt expanding development strategy is presented, the new service project and regional market are actively explored by relying on the national material stocking logistics network based on stabilizing current business and markets. At the operation level, the company shall adopt integration strategy, differentiation strategy and national reserve league. The enterprise organization, customer resource, capacity resource and information resource shall be integrated in the development strategy implementation process of GD Logistics Company so as to make various resource allocations of GD Logistics Company more reasonable, strengthen the core competitiveness of enterprise and provide supports for the development strategy implementation of GD Logistics Company.
