The Research On Dispairties Of Regional Economic Growth In Jilin Province

Disparities of regional economic growth are difficult to avoid, especially as adeveloping country like china. China since reforming and opening up, the economicis grow rapidly, the problems of growth disparities that cause from it are moreserious. Researches in China mostly focused on the economic differences amongEast, Middle and Eest areas, and the developed provinces has become a hot pot, too.This article is concerned about the reasons of tendency of increase difference andinfluencing elements in Jilin province from the statistical and measurement angle, aswell as proposing the relative strategic plan in order to shorten the increasedifferences between different areas and promote holistic economy in Jilin province.Firstly, the thesis introduces the research background and research significance,expatiating the research methods. It also summarizes the main structure and themajor content.Secondly, the thesis defines the relative conceptions. It demonstrated the basictheories, including the economic growth theory, regional balanced growth theoryand regional non-balanced growth theory. The representatives of economic growththeory are Harold-Thomas model，Solow model，and the endogenous economicgrowth theory including Romer’s theory, Grossman and Helpman theory. Regionalbalanced growth theory including big push theory of Rosenstein-Rodin, viciouscircle of poverty theory and the low level equilibrium trap theory. Regionalnon-balanced growth theory contains Peru’s growth pole theory, circulatingcumulative causation theory of Myrdal, and Hirschman’s unbalanced growth theory.Besides, this part of article expounds from four aspects of relevant research literature, including the measure of differences, influence factor, variation trend andeconomic difference in Jilin province.Thirdly, it is fond that the tendency of the relative differences is likely to be inthe same direction, whereas the absolute different is increasing gradually from theresearch of trend of differences of economy increase of the differing places in Jilinprovince, as well as the calculation in the angles of absolute differences andrelation differences from the data over the period from the year2000to2012.Fourth, with respect to the element, what affect the tendency of difference ofincrease in Jilin province, this article mainly focused on the effects on economyincrease differences of natural resources, capital, industrial structure, labor force,opening degree and institutional element.The fifth part is the approximation of data of Jilin province from2000to2012,using panel data model, as well as the analysis and conclusion of the effects of theelements on the different cities and areas respectively.The final part is the relative suggestions to the different areas in Jilin provincein order to promote economy and coordination between different areas.
