Zhejiang Province Fruit Class Family Farm Business And Moderate Scale Effectiveness Studies

As a new type of agricultural management main body， the family farms has a significant effect onimproving the efficiency of land use and promoting agricultural output. Therefore， cultivating anddeveloping the family farms is a basic goal of the reform of our country agriculture microstructure andan effective choice which stabilize the household contract management. In agricultural productioninputs， mechanical equipment， water conservancy facilities and so on has certain and with theexpansion of land， can make full use of the means of production， reduce production costs， increaseeconomic efficiency. However， agricultural production will experience three stages: increasing returnsto scale， constant returns to scale and decreasing returns to scale. If the scale is too large， which willresult in extensive cultivation and other land use uneconomical. Agricultural production and operationshould not only to emphasize the scale， but also to moderate."Moderate scale" is a relatively dynamicconcept， with different social economic levels， the level of productivity， production environment，characteristics of different crop and livestock， moderate scale of operations are not the same.The paper takes the fruit class family farms in Zhejiang province as an example.We analyze thebasic situation of the fruit class family farms in Zhejiang province from the production factors of thedevelopment of family farms， the family farms management structure and operation mode， at thesame time， using the nonparametric data envelopment analysis (DEA) to analyze the economicbenefits of the fruit class family farms， through which we can obtain the optimal scale of production offruit class family farms in Zhejiang province：the optimal management area for small type of the fruitclass family farms is1.33-2hectares， the medium size is4.67-6.67hectares or8.67-10hectares，large-scale is26.67-33.33hectares. The number of valid DEA of fruit class family farms in Zhejiangprovince occupied a smaller share， pure technical efficiency is better than scale efficiency state.Production factors widespread exist the phenomenon of unreasonable utilization and waste. From theland system， the human capital， the material base and the service system factors to analysis the mainreasons for restricting Zhejiang fruit class family farms moderate scale management. And based onpropose some recommendations: perfect the land circulation system，improve and optimize humancapital， innovation the financial services institutions and strengthen the infrastructure construction.
