Research On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Tourism Industry In Taining County

The development of the tourism industry plays an important role in improving the employment rate, increasing national income and promoting local economy. Therefore, governments all around the world are scrambling to develop tourism industry. Taining County is a new key tourism county of Fujian province.Its tourism industry has been developing steadily in recent years, and it has become an important support to maintain and promote the economic, social development of Taining county. Facing more and more fierce regional competition, and people’s more and more diversified tourism demand,the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry of Taining county has become an urgent problem to be solved.This paper, guided by the theory of sustainable development, taking Taining County as an example, based on a research of current situation of the development of the tourism industry in Taining County, uses the SWOT analysis method to analyse the advantages and disadvantages,the opportunities and threats in the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry of Taining county.It also analyses the main restricting factors in the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry of Taining county.With reference to the experiences from the development of tourism industry in other regions at home and abroad, it concludes the suggestions to promote the transformation and upgrading of tourism in Taining County, deepens the academic understanding of the transformation and upgrading of Taining county’s tourism industry,and provides experience and cases for other parts of the country in the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry.
