Problems And Suggestions Of Hunchun Yanbian Cattle Industry

Hunchun is located in Northeast Asia regional geographic Geometry Center, is national reform and opening up experimental area, as the "window" city of Changjitu development open pilot district. The development of Yanbian cattle industry in Hunchun has irreplaceable advantages. Yanbian cattle industry domestic zone established in favor of Yanbian cattle to further development, increase international and domestic cattle in Yanbian industry competitiveness, the promotion of Yanbian Hunchun whole is important for economic development.For realizing the truth situation of Yanbian cattle industry totally, in this survey, the representative free-range farmers and scale farms of ten villages and towns are visited and investigated. The truth of raising current was recorded. And the data information was organized. Then the raising current of Hunchun Yanbian cattle was analyzed. Finally, the existing problems and developing suggestions were raised. Currently, the survey data showed that the cattle stocks of Yanbian cattle are21747, among them10337are cows. There are1832farmers. Among them1758farmers are free-range farmers, the cattle stocks are13282, accounting for61.1%. The cows are about52.9%. The number of farmers who has cattle over50is74. The cattle stocks are8465, accounting for38.9%, the cows are about32.0%. It is observed that the farmers of Hunchun are still mainly free-range farmers. And the number of cow is larger proportion. The quantity of fattening cattle and cows are relatively lower as a whole. There are problems of the Hunchun cattle raising industry by analyzing the current situation of Yanbian cattle raising industry, including the contradiction of traditional breeding mode transformation and the benefit distribution gap between breeding cows and fattening cattle, the decrease proportion of improved breeding cows, the lack of government pertinence support policy, the shortage of development fund, extensive production management level, low degree of industrialization, inchoate industry chain of beef cattle market network and weak leading role. The survey of current situation and problems of Hunchun Yanbian cattle industry are analyzed and indicated that the transformation of livestock production mode should be got out radically. For better and faster development of Yanbian cattle industry, the sustainable development suggestions are also made. The government should strengthen the drawbacks of policy and give support to the small-scale farmers; strengthen financial support and subsidize the breeding cows; strengthen the exploit of feedstuff; perfect the disease prevention and control system; establish mark source system; improve the quality and safety level of beef; improve protection and breeding rejuvenation system of Yanbian cattle; encourage the moderate scale farming mode, develop professional cooperative; build high-grade beef producing area; support the heading enterprises to upgrade and build band.Decentralized management situation of Hunchun cattle raising industry should bebroken. The beef cattle industrialization mode that small and free-range scale based, cooperation and base as the backing, enterprises as leading role should be developed in advantage area. The farmers take part in the production and business operation activities and the market competition of the enterprises directly or indirectly by means of cooperation forming a pattern of beef cattle industry each link in the chain of joint development, sharing risks and profits really, perfecting the benefit connection mechanism of each link in industrial chain and ensuring the steady development of each links, such as cow breeding, beef cattle fattening and processing. The raising scale and organization of beef cattle improved by supporting the farmer professional cooperative organization, such as small scale farms, cattle cooperative, association and demonstration area.In the survey, ten villages and town farms of Hunchun as samples are visited and investigated. And the existing problems of local cattle raising industry were also discussed deeply. The investigation reflects the truth of cattle raising industry in recent years and provides reference data for the development of Hunchun cattle industry.
