Along with the industrialization advancements speeds up, China’s national economic development has a higher and higher dependence on mineral resources. Medium and small mining consulting companies rise in response to the proper time and economic conditions. Owing to the fact that it is limited by time and inexperience in dealing with industry specialty, some company without a specific development strategy chooses to take risks because of the pressure of survival. Therefore, it is essential for the research of Chinese medium and small mining consulting agencies’development strategy.Based on the related theories and analysis methods of strategic management, this thesis makes a detailed analysis of external and internal environments of Liaoning Huanyu Mining Consulting Co.Ltd; with the help of Porter5force analysis, this thesis analyzes the industry environment of Huanyu and get the conclusion that the business area of mining consulting has a stable market demand and increasingly fierce competition in the industry. Through comparison and analysis of chances, threats, advantages and disadvantages of enterprise developing environment with the help of SWOT models, the general development strategy of Growth Strategies for Huanyu can be concluded. The growth strategy of Huanyu is the combat ion of multiplicity and integration, and the competitive strategy of Huanyu is the co-existence of differentiation and coopetition.This thesis consists of seven chapters:Chapter One makes a introduction of the background and significance of the research; Chapter Two introduces Strategic Management and theory of Engineering consulting; Chapter Three is an introduction of Huanyu Company; Chapter Four systematically analyzes the external environments of Huanyu and summaries the advantages and disadvantages of the development of the company; Chapter Five makes an analysis of the internal environments of Huanyu and concludes the chances and threats during the process of company development; Chapter Six aims to make clear strategy selection and strategy formulation; Chapter Seven describes how to implement and control strategy.The author of the thesis hopes that the thesis not only has a positive effect on Liaoning Huanyu Mining Consulting Co. Ltd’s survival and development, but also provides medium and small mining consulting companies some helpful references on the formulation of development Strategy.
