“Hunger breeds discontent, food security to come first.” With the more profound development of oursocialism with Chinese characteristics, people’s standard of living is improved continually, and so thequality of goods is regarded as an important thing. people are calling for an effort to enhance the foodsecurity among members of the society. Edible agricultural products safety&food security have been apopular topic of conversation. Quality has also become the focus of the society and the media. So the safetyof agricultural products quality is very important to the state credit and the public safety. Fresh vegetablesas main human sources of nutrients are essential types of food. How to ensure the safety of fresh vegetables,and enhance public confidence in the safety of the diet has become a crucial project in the fields of foodsafety in China. In this context, the research of the fresh vegetables quality&safety inspection capabilitiesabout Urumqi would be of significance on guiding the construction of fresh vegetablesquality safety guarantee system from the farmland to our dining table. In this paper, normative analysis,empirical analysis,case analysis, inductive and deductive methods were used to assess the fresh vegetablesquality and safety inspection capabilities about Urumqi. Lastly, author proposed some suggestions on thedevelopment of fresh vegetables quality&safety guarantee system in Urumqi.
