After the reform and opening, the automotive industry is an important pillar industry of national economy, whose production and marketing and economic benefit present a fast growth. The development of China’s automobile industry lead to the development of the auto parts industry. In recent years, the auto industry policies have a major impact on the development of automobile industry. China not only supports the development of automobile industry, but also strengthens the regulation and requirement of the auto industry. The future of auto industry and auto parts industry will become more and more competitive. Faced with complicated domestic and foreign environment, and fierce competitors, how to make right strategies to seek development is a common problem for many enterprises.First, this article makes a brief introduction about Gap Auto Parts Company’s basic information, and then uses PEST method to analyze Gap Company’s political environment, economic environment, social cultural environment and technology environment. This article analyzes the current state and development of automobile industry and auto parts industry at home and abroad. And then it analyzes Gap Company’s industry competition situation from potential competitors, substitutes, buyers bargaining power, the supplier bargaining power and existing competitors. After understanding the company’s human resources, technology, production, marketing and financial situation, this article uses the SWOT analysis method to evaluate Gap Company’s external opportunities and threats, and internal advantages and disadvantages, and then formulates the development strategies of the company. On the company strategic layer it takes intensive development strategy, and on the business layer it adopts the cost leading strategy, and on the function layer it takes marketing strategy, production strategy, technological innovation strategy and human resource strategy. To ensure the effective implementation of the corporate’s strategies, it puts forward the safeguard measures from the company organizational structure, corporate culture and human resource management.This development strategy for Gap Auto Parts Company is specific, operable and realistic, which is conducive to enterprise’s development. It also has certain reference significance for other auto parts enterprises.
