The Impact Of Service Industry Agglomeration On Urbanization Quality

At present,with the rapid development of the global economy and increasingcompetition,industrial agglomeration and urbanization has become the focus ofattention of many countries.After the Second World War,western industry in space ona wide range of agglomeration has made outstanding contributions to promoteregional development and speed up the process of urbanization,this shows thatindustrial agglomeration and urbanization has close relationship,industrialagglomeration as a kind of industrial organization form, is the main source of theregional economic growth and prosperity,and is also a big power to support thedevelopment of the towns, effectively promoted the urbanization process.China is the largest developing country in the world,with the deepening of thereform and opening up,the process of China’s urbanization is accelerating,and theregional urbanization has obtained rapid development. In most parts of Chineseurbanization, the construction and development of urbanization also cannot dowithout the support of industrial agglomeration.In such a background, industrialcluster has gradually attracted more and more attention, the local governments havetaken lots of measures to speed up the construction of industrial agglomeration toboost the rapid development of towns.Nowadays, much attention has been paid to theadvance of the urbanization quality, how to correctly guide the development ofindustrial agglomeration, has become an important problem faced in the constructionof urbanization,but at this stage,industrial cluster’s influence on the quality ofurbanization is lack of in-depth research, in addition,the status of service industry inthe national economy is more and more high, become the new engine of economicgrowth.As a starting point,by studying service industry agglomeration effect on thequality of urbanization, this article intends to solve the following problems:First,whether the service industry agglomeration has significant influence on thequality of urbanization? If there is,how of influence?Second, what’s the difference of service industry agglomeration effect on theurbanization quality?Third,in the development of service industry agglomeration,what kind ofindustrial agglomeration guide we should choose? In this paper,theoretical analysis and empirical analysis are the primary researchmethod.This article first reviews industrial development,industrial agglomeration andthe quality of urbanization theory and related research results at home and abroad, andthen get a research framework.Next the paper analyzes the agglomeration effectmechanism of urbanization quality.Agglomeration effect on urbanization quality inservices directly reflected in the expansion of production and innovation ofenterprises on the one hand,on the other hand indirectly reflected in increasedemployment,the adjustment of industrial structure,improvement of social welfare andother aspects of the residents.Based on the theoretical analysis, this paper has alsoconducted a case study in Zhejiang Province,first determines the measure of qualityof urbanization and service industry agglomeration index,analyzes the quality ofurbanization and the status of service industry agglomeration in Zhejiang Province.Onthe basis of this, the paper establishes econometric regression model to reveal theinfluence of service industrial agglomeration affection.The results show that:firstly,thegap of urbanization quality on region and construction has widened.The overallquality of urbanization in Zhejiang is on the rise,but the regional development isimbalanced,which forming a relatively high quality of urbanization in the northeastand southwest lagging development pattern.Secondly,the gap of service industrialagglomeration level on region and industry has been widened.Producer service has ahigh agglomeration level. Service industrial agglomeration level is higher in thenortheast than the middle and southwest.Thirdly,the influence of service industrialagglomeration on urbanization quality is different in construction.The agglomerationeffect of specialization is positive,whereas,the diversification agglomeration effect isnegative.Based on the above conclusions,this article puts forward som reasonable policysuggestions from the perspective of service industrial agglomeration to improve thequality of urbanization.
