Study On The Developing Financial Support For Shanty Areas Rebuilding In Jilin Province

The project of Shanty Areas Rebuilding is a significant policy carried out bythe central government to fulfill the improvement of stabilization, modification,reform and livelihood. As well, it is an urgent demand to promote human-orientedand new-typed urbanization. Since the project was kicked off in Jilin province, thelargest challenge has been the seriously insufficient supply of funds. The presentresearch analyzed in detail the fundamental situations and the potential defects,together with the requirement of financing and supply, focusing on the financingchannels and bottle necks in the project. The research came up with new thoughtsfor developing new urbanization in Jilin province.The paper is structured into five sections:Section One: Some basic concepts involved in developing financial rebuildingof shanty areas were illustrated. And it was concluded that developing financialtheories supporting shanty areas rebuilding was a major way to compensate for marketand government failures.Section Two: The basic situations and the external environment for therebuilding of shanty areas were analyzed in detail, revealing some major problemslike fund shortage.Section Three: The fund supply and demand for the rebuilding of the shanty areaswere analyzed and the financing space was evaluated. The major role of developingfinancial support in the rebuilding was illustrated.Section Four: From traditional and innovative angles, channels of shanty areasrebuilding were explored and the financing bottleneck at different phases wereworked out.Section Five: Some suggestions were put forward for further strengthening thefinancial support involved in shanty areas rebuilding, and new thoughts wererecommended to contribute to the development of new urbanization in Jilin province.
