The new technological revolution promoted the new industrial revolutionthroughout the world. The proportion of service industry has raised and the worldeconomy shows the tendency of "service",changing from "industrial economy" to"service economy". At the same time, the dependent on knowledge factors such asscience and technology, innovation ability, and management level in the productionprocess is growing. As an important part of service economy, service trade graduallygained in importance and vigorous development of all countries. Service trade is notonly growing in the trading volume and transaction content, its internal structure andinternational competition pattern is also changing constantly. Modern service trade, which is knowledge and technology intensive, using advanced technology and breakingmany limitations of traditional service trade, expanding rapidly worldwide.South Korea and Singapore are important economies of East Asia, also servicetrading powers in the world. This paper first attempts to establish a theoreticalframework for the research of service export structure, then studies the evolution ofSouth Korean and Singaporean service export structure in a dynamic perspective, anddoes a deep analysis and contrast on the content, reason and direction of them. Analysisindicates that the two countries’ service export both have high concentration, butthe advantage departments are different. South Korea concentrates in export oftransportation, other business services, construction and travel; Singapore concentratesin export of transportation, other business services, travel and financial services. Theservice export structure of South Korea and Singapore showed a trend of gradualoptimization in decades, but had different degrees of degradation owing to the2008world financial crisis. Through the co-integration models and error correction models, the writer conclude that in the long run, both labor and capital factors of two countriesare negatively related with the structure of service export, and the negative effects oflabor factor is greater; knowledge factor is positively correlated with the structure ofservice export, which is the main driving force of optimization and upgrading ofSouth Korean and Singaporean service export structure. This paper is divided into six chapters: The first chapter introduces the backgroundand significance of the topic; the second chapter attempts to establish a theoreticalframework for structural analysis of service export; the third and fourth chapters userelevant data and index to analyze export structure of South Korean and Singaporeanservice trade, and do an empirical analysis of the influencing factors of two countries’service export structure; the fifth chapter makes a comparative study on exportstructure of two countries’ service trade; the sixth chapter puts forward somecountermeasures and suggestions to optimize Chinese service export structure based onformer studies.
