The technology intensive industries rapidly improve their own competitivenessthrough inward international entrepreneurship. This phenomenon is relativelycommon, indicating that the inward international business in the technologyintensive industry is a relatively successful entrepreneurial way. Over the past60years, the development of China’s automobile enterprises have showed passiveinternationalization tendency, namely inward international business. Behind theprosperity of China s auto industry, how to face large foreign enterprises whichseize the market with Chinese enterprises, how to face the situation of beingrestrained everywhere in the Sino-foreign cooperation process due to the lack oftechnology, how to achieve the transformation and find a promising path ofdevelopment from the crevice of the maturing market segments, and so many suchproblems puzzle automobile enterprises of our country. In order to solve theseproblems, we need the help of professional perspective and theoretical guidancefrom the inherent law of development of enterprises. We need to control thingsfrom the general direction of the corporate strategic decision-making, and makesure that the international entrepreneurship and internationalization mode shouldbe suitable for the situation of our country and our country automobile industrydevelopment status, so that the development of China’s automobile enterprises goeson independently and permanently.In today s development of China’s automobile industry, there have been anumber of car companies going abroad and enjoying a good reputation by low-coststrategy in the international. In the era of the rise of international businessstudies, the success of China’s automotive business overseas business hasattracted the attention of scholars, and therefore previous study of the automotiveindustry are eyeing the export-oriented international business orientation. Incontrast, this paper the strategy choice in the process of the development ofautomobile enterprises of our country from the inward international businessdirection, focus on the analysis of the influencing factors of strategy choice,in order to standing on a theoretical height and a systematical perspective miningthe general rules in the international entrepreneurship. This paper is divided intofive chapters. Chapter one introduces the research background, significance, procedure, wayof thinking and method, and the definition of international entrepreneurship,inward international business definition and definition for the automotiveindustry. Entrepreneurship refers to a procedure that entrepreneurs withentrepreneurial thinking find and identify business opportunities, then gatherthe entrepreneurial resources, form entrepreneurial organization, conduct theentrepreneurial process, provide products and services for the community andrealize their own value. The definition of international entrepreneurshipexperienced27years with supplement and development has formed a relativelycomplete framework. According to the framework, this paper defines inwardinternational business: domestic enterprises integrate high quality resources athome and abroad through imports, buying patent technology, compensation trade,processing and assembling, and domestic joint venture, explore businessopportunities, enhance corporate performance, and realize their own value.The second chapter is the theoretical part. Theories related to Internationalentrepreneurship, strategic choice, enterprise development and enterpriseinternationalization provides theoretical basis on how technology and resourcesbecome the core competitiveness of enterprises and how to be used to extend thecompany s life for this study. Our country automobile industry internationalentrepreneurship strategy selection research is still in the initial stage,scholars in our country focus on studying overseas market factors which affectautomobile enterprises to enter, strategic choice and the entrepreneurship process.However, the research about how automobile enterprise use international resourcesto start new business in domestic market still stays on the subject mainly to smalland medium enterprises, and private enterprises.Chapter three is the core section of this paper. The main content is theinfluencing factors of the inward international business, business model and astrategic selection model. In order to conduct international entrepreneurship,China’s car companies must first take into account the influence factors of marketopportunities, resources and the team. This paper summarizes the three factorsin the premise of theoretical support. Market opportunity factors including thesereacting external environment (1) government industrial policies and relevantlaws;(2)the characteristics of the industry;(3)foreign factors;(4)economicfactors. These reacting enterprise development status (5) enterprise system;(6) enterprise development cycle. Enterprise resource factors include (1)technical support;(2) the scale of enterprises;(3) enterprise financial competence;(4) enterprise’s core strengths. Team factors including (1)corporate culture;(2) technological learning capabilities;(3) seniorleadership quality;(4) business development objectives;(5) enterpriseinformation gathering capabilities. Secondly, the auto companies ought tounderstand what international entrepreneurship mode included in inwardinternational entrepreneurship. This paper summarizes some common introvertedinternational entrepreneurship mode, from which I choose import substitution,technology licensing and joint venture. The three modes are proved more successfulby now. This paper combines the factors and the mode of entrepreneurship modes,raises a model of automobile enterprise international entrepreneurship strategyselection, and makes this model as an example to analyze the real companies.The fourth chapter is the case analysis part. The joint venture and cooperationbetween FAW and VW is the most representative case of automotive industryinternational entrepreneurship in China. This paper collates FAW, VW and FVW sdocuments, makes a monolithic and systematical case analysis from the joint venturedevelopment process to the strategic choice by integrating two groups resources.Firstly this paper theorizes the case, and analyze its decision-making processaccording to the factors of the strategic choice model, then summarize and analyzethe strategic choice of FVW in the combination of Chinese and foreign excellentresources in24years of development. Finally, this paper brings results of themodel validation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and outlook section. Finally draws theconclusion that the inward international business of China’s automobile industryis passive. One hand with the influence of national development stage and effectof government control, as well as from its shortage of technical pressure,automobile enterprises of our country in the initial stage of development haveto walk a way of introducing the technology and the road of Sino foreign jointventure foreign technology spillover effect, under the difficult environment rapidgrowth. This is an internationalization process led by several factors and promotedby many small factors. Developed to a certain stage, inward international businesswill change to export-oriented international entrepreneurship, and passiveinternationalization will change to active international. Automobile enterprisesof our country in recent years have remarkable achievements of the independentbrand and independent research, resulting in increasing exports and increasinglyfrequent overseas activities. This paper also summarizes the innovation of the prospects for future research.
