The knowledge has been the most strategic significant resource for multinationalcompanies. To occupy the market, the multinational companies can provide theimportant knowledge through the knowledge transfer for subsidiary companies toimprove competitiveness. Knowledge transfer in multinational companies has beenstudied by many scholars, especially the knowledge transfer process, knowledgetransfer performance, and the factors affecting knowledge transfer. Organizationaltrust and organizational distance have only been a little part of the factors affectingknowledge transfer. In fact, the impact of organizational trust and organizationaldistance on knowledge transfer performance in multinational companies can not beignored, so this research aims at studying the impact of organizational trust andorganizational distance on knowledge transfer in multinational companies, meanwhilethis paper researched the regulatory effects of tacit knowledge between organizationaltrust, organizational distance and knowledge transfer performance in multinationalcompanies.This paper based on the multinational companies theory, knowledge transfertheory, organizational trust theory and organizational distance theory, and constructthe conceptual model of the impact of organizational trust and organizational distanceon knowledge transfer performance in multinational companies. According to themechanism of action, we proposed the hypothesis. Through regression analysis, testthe theoretical model and assumptions made, discuss the assumption results, and getthe revelation based on the research.In combination with achievements by scholars at home and abroad, thisresearch based on the quantitative indicators of key elements, and design thequestionnaire, so we can get the empirical research data. This research use softwareSPSS21.0to analysis the data. Through all the eight hypothesis, seven have passed,while one has not. For passed hypothesis, we conclude the revelation, for unpassedhypothesis, we analysis the causes. To put forward the proposal, we can promote the organizational trust, face up to the organizational distance, and pay attention to thetacit knowledge in multinational companies.The conclusion of this paper is: Organizational trust, including cognition-basedtrust and affect-based trust, have a positive effect on knowledge transfer performancein multinational companies. Tacit knowledge has a positive adjust action betweenorganizational trust and knowledge transfer performance in multinational companies.Organizational distance, including institution distance and culture distance, have anegative effect on knowledge transfer performance in multinational companies. Tacitknowledge has a reverse adjust action between culture distance and knowledgetransfer performance in multinational companies. While tacit knowledge has anunobvious adjust action between institution distance and knowledge transferperformance in multinational companies, and need an in-depth research.
