Study On The Interactive Development Between Productive Services Industry And Manufacturing Industry In Tianjin

With the accelerated process of global economic integration, services industry, in particular productive services industry come out and has become a measure of a country or region’s economic development level. It also plays an important role on promoting economic growth, expanding employment opportunities and adjusting the industrial structure. At the present, Tianjin is facing industrial restructuring and transformation. For accelerating the process of industrial restructuring and transformation, vigorous promotion to interact productive services industry and manufacturing industry is needed.This paper utilizes combination methods between normative research and empirical study to discuss the interactive relationship between productive services industry and manufacturing industry. It elaborates the basic concept of productive services industry, classification and characteristics, and analyses the interaction mechanism, benefits, and the stage of development between productive services industry and manufacturing industry. Based on the Tianjin’s industrial development, it expounds the development of productive services industry and manufacturing industry. Applying granger causality test as empirical analysis, it researches the interactive relationship between productive services industry and manufacturing industry, based on the related material of Tianjin1997-2013statistics yearbook, and points out: There is the granger causality relation between the productive services industry and manufacturing industry, both influencing each other. And the development of productive services industry plays a positive and motivational role on manufacturing industry. Refer to the development of Pearl River Delta successful experience, this paper also points out the problems exist in Tianjin’s inter-industrial interactive development. Focus on the calls for the adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure and the orientation of Tianjin’s city function, this paper puts forward some measures for promoting the interactive development between productive services industry and manufacturing industry in Tianjin which are: completing strategies, structuring the external environment, cultivating talents, and building the socialized production and service system.
