Research On Harmonious Development Betweenurbanization And Industry In Yichang City

Urbanization and industrial development has played an important role in the process of regional economic development, and they influence each other. On the one hand, the positive development of three industries brings urbanization development, and promotes to change the urbanization development pattern, so as to promote the process of the regional urbanization and the development of economy; On the other hand, the development of urbanization also affects the allocation of resources in the area, prompting three industries to be more powerful. Since China’s reform and opening up, the urbanization process accelerates. Yichang city, as an important supplier of central region, has made great progress. The urbanization rate is from about 15% in 1978 to 33.8% in 2012.At the same time, structure of three industries is continuous upgrading. The proportion of nonagricultural workers reached 66.7% in 2012, and the GDP proportion shows obvious two-three-0ne pattern. But compared to Hubei province, and even China, Yichang urbanization level is relatively backward. On the industrial structure, the second industry is still the key development of Yichang, and the development of the third industry is insufficient, limiting the coordinated development of urbanization and three industries of Yichang.This article introduces background, purpose and research status at home and abroad of the research firstly to understand this research integrally. Then, it combs related theoretical basis for urbanization and industrial development systematically, especially for the relationship between urbanization and industrial development. It shows that the primary industry is the foundation of the development of urbanization, the second industry promotes the development of the procession of urbanization, and the third industry is the driving force of urbanization development. At the same time, it discusses the impact of urbanization development of three industries on resource allocation, industrial optimization. Next, this text summarizes the history and the present situation of urbanization and industrial development in Yichang, finding out that it exist many problems, such as great regional differences and limited ability on absorbing labor workers in the development of urbanization, and the third industry develops much slow in three industries development. Again, it selects urbanization rate, GDP and employment rate from 2000 to 2012 on three industries of Yichang, and it analyzes the influence factors and degree between urbanization and industrial development of Yichang through empirical analysis. The empirical results show that the GDP of three industries has no significant impact on urbanization rate, but three industrial employment structure effects on urbanization rate significantly, especially the effect of the third industry is most obvious. Finally, it bases on the empirical results to offer some suggestions, such as improving infrastructure construction, speeding up industrial park construction, supporting migrant workers to work as entrepreneurs, breaking registration system between urban and rural, and strengthening environmental protection and so on.
