Studying On The Time And Space Differences Of The Tourism Effects On Poverty Elimination In Wuling Mountain Area And Its Effecting Factors

The Wuling Mountain Area is one of the 14 poverty-stricken areas in China, and also a crucial experiment site area for poverty alleviation. To study the development of Wuling mountain can play an overall and strategic role in our country’s economic developement. Tourism development has a very good development potential and social, economic, environmental benefits. In recent years, the national poverty alleviation and development in Wuling mountain area has achieved remarkable success, but due to the limits of conditions, the development of industry and agriculture is lack of competitive advantage, and is difficult to form a new economic growth point. While developing tourism has advantageous conditions, some region are active in tourism development, and achieved good effect of poverty alleviation. But there are obvious differences in the effect of Pro-poor tourism in different places. Therefore, it is necessary to study the time and space differences of the tourism effects on poverty elimination in Wuling mountain area and its effecting factors, and promote the sustained and healthy development of social economy.Firstly, this paper analyzes the tourism development and the poverty status in Wuling mountainou area. Secondly, choose the city as the research unit to estimate the effect of poverty alleviation, analyze the temporal evolution and spatial pattern in Wuling mountain area. All of these research is based on the each city’s tourism and economic data from 2001 to 2013.The results show that: during the study period, the change of tourism poverty alleviation effect in Zhangjiajie,Huaihua,Xiangtxi,Tongren, Enshi are not identical, the biggest change is in Zhangjiajie, Enshi is the most stable city; the growth of the absolute difference and relative difference of the tourism effect on poverty alleviation in Wuling mountain area is fluctuating. in 2003 and 2008, because of SARS and the global financial crisis, the impact of Wenchuan earthquake, frozen disasters,the difference is larger than any other year; low effect area is gradually decreasing, high efficiency is increasing gradually. Thirdly, combined with the existing results about the influence factors of the tourism effects on poverty alleviation, analysis the influence factors of the tourism effects onpoverty alleviation in Wuling mountain area,and find out that tourism infrastructure, tourism market, tourism development policy, emergencies are all the important factors that made the differences of the tourism effects on poverty alleviation in Wuling mountain area. Finally, according to the influencing factors, combined with the reality of the Wuling mountain area, give some advice to narrow the difference and promote the whole area’s tourism effects on poverty alleviation in Wuling mountain area.
