In recent years, Internet Finance became a new force suddenly rises. As a part of Internet Finance, Internet Insurance began to show explosive growth since 2013. As this emerging financial industry, what is the motivation of development, what is its evaluation, and how to promote it developing normatively? All parties have different interpretations. In order to promote Internet Insurance developing healthily, this paper carried out the research from the aspects of concept of Internet Insurance, development motivation, mode of development, existing problems,and risk links. At the last of the paper, I propose some suggestions to promote the sustainable development of Internet Insurance.This article does research by four steps. Firstly, analyzes the development motivation of Internet Insurance based on the concept of the Internet Insurance and the development status of China’s Internet Insurance. Secondly, from the four innovation dimensions of channel, product, service, and business model summarizes the development patterns of Internet Insurance, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of different models. Thirdly, looks forward to the development trend of Internet Insurance, and summarizes the existing problems and risks. Finally, puts forward to promote Internet Insurance sustainable development countermeasures.This paper adopts seven research methods, respectively is the observation method, the literature research method, qualitative analysis method, case study method, cross research method, exploratory research method and descriptive research method.This paper has two innovations. The first one is to define the concept of Internet Insurance. Internet Insurance is the integration of Internet and insurance, its development depends on the Internet driven. Using the cross research method, analyzes the characteristics of the Internet and its mechanism of driving the insurance innovation. The second one is to summarize the development patterns of Internet Insurance from four aspects of product innovation, channel innovation, service innovation, and business model innovation. Especially in part of the business model innovation, the paper focuses on the analysis of Zhong An Insurance Company from its business model characteristics and the significance of innovation.
