Research On The Evaluation Of Recreational Resources Of Saihanwula Nature Reserve

In recent years, the ecological tourism development has become a significant part in the continuous development of nature reserves. The ecological tourism can not only bring in social and ecological benefits, but also play a positive role in local economic development. Therefore, scientifically acknowledging the recreational value of nature reserves has been the research hotspot in contemporary academic world. This paper selects the Saihanwula Nature Reserve as the studying object and analyzes its recreational value, which will support the decisions to be made of Saihanwula Nature Reserve in the future.This research firstly makes a comment of mainstream research methods used in contemporary recreational value assessment, including advantages and disadvantages analysis. Then a detailed description will be presented about the literature review, theory introductions, the research achievements and application methods of Multiple Program Contingent Valuation Method (MPCVM).Secondly, the paper presents Saihanwula Nature Reserve’s natural geographical conditions, social and economic development, and its current ecological tourism development, which will help find out various existing problems in the exploitation process of Saihanwula Nature Reserve.Thirdly, the paper will make a statistic analysis of data about the survey results and then work out the recreational value of Saihanwula Nature Reserve. Furthermore, it will make an analysis of the element substitutional/complementary relationship among forest resources, wetland water resources and wild fauna and flora resources.Furthermore, we make statistical analysis of survey results, make previous preparation of questionnaire survey, and divide the factors making up the recreational resources of Saihanwula Nature Reserve into three types by the usage of the Delphi Method and Element Value Theory:forest resource, wetland water resource and wild fauna and flora resource. We also make factorial analysis of respondents’cognition towards Saihanwula Nature Reserve, and calculate the recreational resource value of Saihanwula Nature Reserve by the MPCVM formula. Then we make a presentation of the complementary/subsititutional relationship of forest resource, wetland water resource and wild fauna and flora resource components. After our correlation analysis of the factors influencing respondents’ bidding value, we make a conclusion as follows:(1) the recreational value of the forest resource of Saihanwula Nature Reserve is 65.8126 million RMB, wetland water resource 44.8012 million RMB and wild fauna and flora resource 54.6123 million RMB. However, the actual total income of the ecological tourism of Saihanwula Nature Reserve is much less than the calculated income, which shows that there is plenty of scope in the ecological tourism development of Sainhanwula Nature Reserve. (2) There is a complementary relationship between forest resource and wetland water resource, a subsitutional relationship between forest resource and wild fauna and flora resource and a substituional relationship between wetland water resource and wild fauna and flora resource. (3) Besides elements influencing the bidding value of age, education and monthly income, the satisfaction of tourists towards the scenic spots’construction and development and the satisfaction towards the natural scenery’s quality are essential, which has a positive correlation relationship with the bidding value.
