Activated carbon is a kind of forest product, which has a strong adsorption ability and widely used in the purification of waste water, waste gas, along with the enhancement of environmental protection concept, especially the developed countries are focosing resources recycling technology, activated carbon export market has a broad prospect. China is an big activated carbon exporter, and the wooden activated carbon exports accounted for the proportion of total exports remain above eighty percent. So, making it clear that the present status of activated carbon in China export trade as well as the influence factors of activated carbon export is the guarantee of the sustainable development of the activated carbon in China export trade.Additionaryly, In addition, with the speeding up of economic globalization, international competitiveness is more and more becoming the hot issue that the sovereign countries participating in the international market consider of. Although the total volume of activated carbon in China is very big, only realizing the comprehensive competitiveness of exports is to ensure healthy development of China’s activated carbon export trade.Basing on International Competitiveness Theory and Trade Gravity model Theory and Comweb modle Theory, firstly, application of 2001-2013 statistical data to analyze the current situation of activated carbon export trade. Secondly, adopting quantitative analysis and using the trade gravity model, and selecting the 19 trade partner countries analyzed, the model concludes that GDP of trade both sides, the exchange rate between the space distance of trade both sides, the importer and exporter, importer of set of technical barriers to trade of activated carbon in China exports have a significant impact. And according to the ratio of actual exports value and forecast export value analysises China’s activated carbon export potential market types. Among 19 trading partners, three are potential for modelling, four are the type of huge potential, rest are the type of potential for growth.Thirdly, with application of the cobweb model, selecting China, the United States, Germany, Greece, and Belgium five leading exporters of activated carbon,basing the analysis of the export performance and quality of three kinds of export export competitiveness index, the paper constructs the five countries of the activated carbon export competitiveness cobweb model, the conclusion dedicates that China’s comprehensive competitiveness performs poorly. Finally, through comprehensive analysis, putting forward the strategy recommendations of continueing to play a cost advantage, stepping by stepping with the developed countries from product quality to manage the quality, enhancing activated carbon industry cooperation, and actively developping regional trade cooperation, introducing advanced factors of production and producing high value-added activated carbon products, strentheninng government macroscopic guidance, to maintain exchange rate stability and the export strategy of formulating appropriate market segment to ensure the healthy sustainable development of China’s activated carbon.
