Under the background of the white-hot competition in the industry, the hotel industry of China is seeking development, the shortage of talent and cost reduction are the two problems need to be solved at the same time. The development and management of interns become more and more important for the whole industry and academia, this is an important topic in the study of hotel human resources management.Merit Points Management was pioneered by Hubei Qunyi Group since 2008, tens of thousands of managers of enterprises benefited from this system. On the 2011 China Management Science meeting, Merit Points Management was honored as "management innovation project" by the Chinese academy of sciences. The use of Merit Points on interns management research aims to establish a scientific and standardized management system, to overcome the disadvantages of traditional management mode, which will maximum the enthusiasm of interns, reduce the turnover rate, and result a more standardized and scientific interns management. This can not only reduce costs, but also can improve the quality of hotel services, and hotel can keep experienced technical talents with high loyalty and high-quality, it is all the managers have been looking for.This article is divided into six parts:The first part is introduction, mainly elaborated the research background, purpose and significance, introduces the ideas, methods and innovation of this article.The second part of this paper, introduces the concept and theoretical basis which are relevant to this article, and summarizes the goal setting theory, stakeholder theory,two-factor theory and other related theory, which are the theoretical foundation for follow-up study.The third part contains questionnaire, summarizes the hotel interns management status.The fourth part introduces an international conference center and the implementation status of Merit Points System, collect and analyze the questionnaire, takes previous students’ internship situation from tourism hotel faculty of Hunan Golf Tourism Vocational College as reference, then obtain the original data and information to analyze the problems of hotel interns Merit Points Management.The fifth part explore the hotel interns Merit Points Management mode from government, schools, enterprises and students four aspects.The sixth part is conclusion, summarizing the whole article, analyzing the deficiency of the solution, and proposing a prospect.The emergence and development of new things are always twists and full of changes,continuous evaluation and adjustments needed according to the changes in the environment. Hope that through the formulation of Merit Points Management, the professional quality of teachers can be strengthened, training form can be Diversified,interns’ self-management consciousness can be improve, so as to provide a little help for the hotel intern management and development, and this will be helpful for the maximum usage of hotel interns resource, which has certain theoretical and practical significance.
