The management environment of tourist hotels is becoming increasingly complex in Guangzhou. It is hard for single hotel to solve all the negative impact from the environmental changes. Meanwhile, hotels' own limited resources and abilities are not conducive to open up new markets and create new value, and so on. In such a background, this paper notes that the co-opetition strategic choice will help resolve these negative issues. So that is very important for the sustainable development of the tourist hotel industry in Guangzhou. The abstract of this paper is as follows.The first chapter is introduction. It raises the questions based on the research background.And it shows the significance and purpose of the study. The second chapter includes research design. It points out the main theoretical foundation of Focal Points Equilibrium and the research methods, such as a literature research, investigation study, a statistical analysis, and so on. Then it constructs the writing technical route and presents the general content. Research review is in the third chapter. By referring to the systematic summary of the co-opetition researches about the domestic and international tourist hotels, it summarized the main theories to explain co-opetition,significance, risks, obstacles and successful conditions. At the same time, it looks for factors which may become focal points as the assumption and shows the study entry point of this paper.The fourth chapter builds the focal points equilibrium model of co-opetition of tourist hotels in Guangzhou. It expounds the co-opetition relations between hotels and its clients, suppliers,competitors, complementary enterprises. The fifth chapter is empirical study. According to the results of survey questionnaires, it uses the tools, such as factor analysis, correlation analysis, and so on, to verify that the assumption of focal points accords with empirical results. On this basis, it amends the original co-opetition model and discusses the stability of focal points equilibrium. The last chapter includes conclusions of this research and analysis of countermeasures. Empirical study comes to the conclusions. The focal points equilibrium of co-opetition of tourist hotels industry on the whole is stable in Guangzhou at present. Relatively speaking, the cooperation equilibriums based on the four focal points of norms, trust, communication and vision are at the edge of the most stable district. The equilibriums based on three focal points of enterprise quality, efficiency and others are at the value of the in-depth mining district opportunity. And focal point equilibrium of behaviors belongs to instable improvement district which needs to resolve. Then it has the corresponding discussion and offers some proposals for co-opetition. Finally, the paper points out the innovations, limitations and prospects of this research.
