| With the rapid development of foreign trade, Chinese international freight forwarding has made a significant development for 20 years of accumulation and sedimentation. As the constant increasing of the ranks of international freight agents, and the business expansion, international freight forwarding trade has developed into a comprehensive service industry, which has also made a positive contribution to the economic development of China. But in 2008, the outbreak of the Subprime crisis in the United States, triggered a global financial crisis. And the followed European debt crisis in 2011, also resulted in a new round of economic crisis. Many import and export enterprises in China have been seriously impacted too. In this difficult situation, Chinese international freight forwarding industry met a huge and serious challenge, particularly the small and medium-sized forwarders, which account the 70% of the freight forwarding enterprises. These small and medium-sized forwarders are mainly private companies. Although there are some advantages in the local network and marketing experience, more and more double-attacked by the state-owned backbone logistics enterprises and world-renowned transnational logistics enterprises. There living space is increasingly shrinking, and the situation is quite serious in the future.Jiangxi is one of inland provinces in China, and the limitation in geographical location and economic development causes a small proportion of the total amount of imports and exports of the whole country’s foreign trade. As a native company, Jiangxi ZX International Freight Co., Ltd. is a forwarding agent company with international multimodal transport service and customs clearance service, which is mainly engaged in international sea, air transport and express transport. Since the establishment, Jiangxi ZX has developed steadily and gradually become a well-known enterprise in this industry of Jiangxi province during these nine years. But in recent years, the business and profit margins of Jiangxi ZX have been impacted to a greater or lesser degree by state-owned large logistics enterprises, such as COSCO and CSCL, foreign logistics enterprises, and the competition of small and medium-sized forwarding companies. Face with such fierce marketing competition, it is particularly important to Jiangxi ZX how to shape their own unique advantages in competition and constant development of strategic deployment.In this background, I take Jiangxi ZX international freight agency Co., LTD. as my research object in this article. Deeply analysis and probe into the economic environment, policy environment, industry competition environment, advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats that ZX company faces through SWOT and Michael Porter’s five models to determine the decision of ZX company’s competitive strategy and concrete implementation. We have to market a new position for ZX company by analysis of Ansoff Matrix, Ensure to implement a new competitive strategy—structure adjustment strategy, strategic alliance strategy, talents strategy, brand building strategy and develop the third-party logistics to deal with the increasingly serious competition, and maintain a long-term stable development for ZX company. |
