Research On The Disparities Of Space And Time Of Marine Economic Development And Dynamic Changes In China

The development and utilization of Marine resources can relieve the problems such as serious environmental pollution, land resources dwindling and human survival space narrowing. It broadens the people’s living space and slows down the environment pressure, so as to promote the sustainable development of society and economy. So the ocean has very important value for human beings. Our country pays more and more attention to the development and utilization of Marine resources, China ocean output keep rapid economic growth in recent years. As the different factors of natural endowments, science and technology level and the policies, Marine economy of coastal areas become evident disparities in our country. The expansions of the Marine economic differences are bound to affect the realization of the strategic goal of Marine power. So it is necessary to recognize our country Marine economy development level, analyze the real differences in the coastal areas, find out factors to narrow regional gap and promote the sustainable development of Marine economy has the vital significance.It takes 11 coastal provinces and municipalities as the objects to study the differences in characteristics of marine economy development in China from the two aspects of space and time to represent the differences of coastal regions from 1997 to 2011. The results show that: marine economy in coastal regions has multiplied while there is a significant regional disparity. It adopts the Location Entropy, Lorezn Curve and Gini Coefficient to analyze the marine industrial structure and the evolution of its spatial distribution. Marine industrial structure is evolving into the advanced stage. The scale of marine industrial agglomeration is reducing and tending to the balanced development. The marine industry with resource attribute has the highest concentration degree and the marine tertiary industry with spatial accessibility has the lower cluster. The coastal provinces and cities are divided into three echelons through comprehensive evaluation. The R/S analysis forecast demonstrates that gaps between coastal provinces and cities gradually decrease over the next 15 years and the differences are in the trend to increase slowly in the later time. From the aspect of time, the trend of contribution of coastal regions is decreasing from 1997 to 2004, and increasing from 2004 to 2011. From the aspect of space, marine industrial structure change and the economic growth have significant positive correlation and the matching relationship is reasonable. Factors of leading to differences in regional Marine economy development in China mainly include natural resource endowment, economic base, the radiation effect of central provinces and cities, regional development policy and technological innovation. Improving the ability of Marine resources development, optimizing regional marine industry structure, promoting the quality of marine economy, the competitiveness of science and technology of marine industries and the economic integration in marine economy and the land are very important to narrow the disparities between the coastal economies.
