Research On The Internet Enterprise Value Assessment

In modern society, the way of life and working is under the influence of the Internet, and thus experienced a series of changes. Internet economy has become the new engine of economic development. Therefore, the problem of value evaluation of the Internet enterprise becomes the hotspot issues of both scholars and appraisers. Internet enterprise possesses the characteristics of high- hazard and high returns. These characteristics mean high risk and high uncertainty and also bring huge impact to the traditional valuation methods. Although there have been numerous Internet enterprise value assessment models, has not yet formed a unified effective system. It is necessary to explore more effective methods for evaluating the value of Internet companies.On the basis of previous experience, this paper extended the appraisal methods of Internet enterprise value, put forward ideas to improve income method based on the assumption of scenarios, and analyzed them with specific cases. This paper analyzed in detail the characteristics of Internet industry, further sorted out the characteristics of the five aspects(such as management, service, user, growth stage and asset structure) of Internet enterprise. Then it induced the difficulty of Internet enterprise value assessment, proposed theoretical solutions for the observation. To estimate the income reasonably, this paper settled up different scenario s which will have a significant impact on future value creation of the enterprise, this has helped to limit the range of uncertainty. At the same time, it also used the Fuzzy AHP to calculate the probabilities to different scenarios to objectively reflect the influence of different scenarios for the future development, so as to realize the purpose to quantify uncertainty. Finally this paper used Q ihoo 360’s case to test the applicability of the method.
