Analysis Of Chinese Ports Listed Companies’ Operating Competition Capacity Evaluation

The port is the basic industry of national and regional economic development, and a main portal in the foreign exchange and trade. In recent years, with the gradually accelerating pace of economic globalization, China’s economy and foreign trade has made rapid development. Along with trade, port industry also get synchronous development and the struggle among the ports also become increasingly fierce. So the managers have to turn to improve port’s operating competition capacity, so that to improve the competitive advantage in the business.This thesis constructs a port operating competition capacity index evaluation system. Select 16 ports listed companies as a research object. Finally, we analyze the level of operating competition capacity of the ports from five aspects. First, this paper discusses the relevant theories of enterprise competence as well as the operation characteristics of China’s ports, During the analysis, we can evaluate the port operation competition capacity in five aspects:financial capacity, natural geographical conditions and infrastructure, heart condition, operation efficiency and development potential. Secondly, by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of existing evaluation methods, we selected factor analysis as research method. Finally, through the use of factor analysis to rank the level of the ports listed companies from five aspects. Then the overall ranking of operation competition capacity is given combining the results of all levels, finally puts forward corresponding suggestions.In this paper, the research can further enrich the theory of port operation competition capacity. At the same time, it has certain reference value for the future development practice of ports.
