| With the increasingly fierce competition of market, performance management has become the core of enterprise human resource management, and an essential management activity for implementing the strategy goal. Middle managers, as an important part of enterprise officer constitution, have played an important role of the enterprise backbone and object implementers. However, long-term ignoring research on middle managers performance appraisal leads to that the work of middle managers performance appraisal is lack of theoretical basis and technical supports,stagnated the assessment work, which hindered the self-development and personal ability improvement of middle managers, and more importantly influenced the advancement of enterprise overall business performance.The research object of this paper V Hotel is a versatile and modern state-owned hotel, which focuses on entertaining national, provincial and municipal leaders,foreign guests, economic, trade and technical exchange meetings, and tour groups. In the aspect of performance appraisal, V Hotel adopted assessment method of combining the three forms of work report assessment, employee interviews, and democratic evaluation. It indicates that the principal leaders of the hotel attach due importance to performance appraisal works, however, due to reasons such as the development of market economy, changes of the market environment, and stated-owned enterprises properties of V Hotel, the existing performance appraisal measures cannot meet the enterprises development requirements.In this case, the paper draws lessons from the existing performance appraisal theory, performance appraisal method, and performance appraisal system of other hotel-type enterprises, uses the method of integrating theory with practice,earnestly searches and grooms the problems existing in work of middle managers performance appraisal, and conducted a thorough analysis on the reason of generating the problems in the content, method, indicator, result application, and feedback of performance appraisal. On this basis, with reference to our country,s hotel industry background, features of state-owned hotel, and hotel market environment in local, this paper put forwards well-directed and effective performance appraisal improvement measures and advices, which is of great importance to promote the sustainable development of V Hotel. |
